About Used Ball Finder
Used Ball Finder is one table: every golf ball we can find for sale in the US, new, recycled and overrun, ranked by what a single ball costs. The most-searched balls also have their own page with every listing for that ball, new and used, side by side. It is built for golfers who want to know whether a 4-dozen box of recycled Pro V1s beats a dozen new balls on sale, without doing the math in a store aisle.
How the ranking works
Price per ball is the pack price divided by the number of balls in the pack, before shipping and tax. The table is sorted by that number and nothing else. Stores cannot pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be removed.
Where the prices come from
- Store listings come from the stores' own product feeds or, with a store's permission, the public product data on its website, refreshed daily. Each row shows when it was last updated, and listings more than three days old are hidden.
- List prices come from each brand's website, or from a named retailer or launch announcement when the brand doesn't publish one. Each row says which, and when it was checked.
- Ball details (cover, layers, compression) come from the brand or from published independent testing. Where no reliable figure exists, we leave it blank rather than guess.
Recycled grades
Each store grades its own recycled balls, so a grade is the store's judgment, not ours. As a rough guide: Pristine and Mint (5A) look close to new, Near Mint (4A) has light marks, and Good (3A) has visible scuffs or discoloring. When a store uses names of its own (Eagle, Birdie, Par), we place them on this scale using the store's own description of each grade.
Our price checker
Prices are read once a day by a small program that identifies itself as UsedBallFinder-PriceCheck/1.0. It only reads sites whose terms allow it or that have agreed in writing, makes a handful of requests spaced a second apart, and loads product data only. Site owners who want it to stop or slow down can email hello@usedballfinder.com.
How we make money
Some links to stores are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, the store pays us a commission, at no extra cost to you. That commission never changes a ball's position in the table.
Who runs it
Used Ball Finder is run by Paris Supply Group LLC, the same independent team behind Used Club Finder, which does the same job for used golf clubs.
